Communication for Development (C4D)

We support young community journalists to create and tell compelling stories on social issues from their communities to influence policy making and cause positive social change.

Under our current Ghetto Go Green Project, we have skilled a cohort of 40 community journalists who create stories on climate change issues and other social concerns in their respective communities. Supported by mentors who are professional journalists, they continue creating compelling stories for which some have featured on national print media like New Vision. Not only do these young community journalists create stories on social challenges, they create and tell stories on young innovators and problem solvers delivering solutions to any social problem in order to inspire the rest of the community members to take responsibility and actions in solving their own problems rather than waiting for government or external support to do the same.
