Network for Active Citizens-NAC, with funding from the British High Commission, is implementing the Open Society in Uganda consortium Project where NAC is implementing in the districts of Arua and Yumbe.  The project aims at enhancing meaningful engagement and participation of grassroots youth in democratic processes at the local government level in Uganda to influence district local government budgets and programs toward youth priorities in Arua and Yumbe Districts. Key of the action including facilitating 70 youths to undergo School of Local Governance, Budget Advocacy, and Accountability (SLOGBAA) fellowship program, NAC is seeking a qualified technical partner to conduct an intensive 8-day training program. We are looking for an individual or organization with the following qualifications and competencies:

 

(a) Successful completion of the SLOGBAA fellowship program.

(b) Proven experience in facilitating SLOGBAA training programs.

(c) Completion of the Active Citizens training program.

(d) Expertise in leadership, budget analysis, and evidence-based advocacy.

(e) Demonstrated knowledge and experience in policy development.

(f) A strong track record in capacity development and advocacy, supported by extensive work experience.

(g) Exceptional analytical, writing, and reporting skills. 

(h) Familiarity with the youth context and the ability to relate to the needs and aspirations of young people. 

(i) Profound familiarity with the local governance and budgeting landscape in Uganda. 

(j) A commitment to efficiency, with a track record of meeting commitments and deadlines.
