Uganda is already witnessing the impacts of climate change on its environment. One of the visible effects of climate change is the disappearing glacier on Uganda’s highest mountain, Mt.Rwenzori. Research shows that by 1906, the glaciers were 6.5sq.km, but that has reduced to less than 1sq. km by 2003. There are fears that the glaciers could even disappear completely soon.
